Water Soluble vs Fat Soluble Vitamins: What You Need To Know

There are some benefits these water soluble types have over their fat soluble counterparts. For one, it’s difficult to overdose on water soluble vitamins because they are easily excreted out of the body through urine. While this means that you will have to make sure to renew these vitamins in the body more often than their fat soluble counterparts, it’s a small price to pay to avoid vitamin toxicity.

There are plenty of water soluble vitamins you will need to support optimal health. Most B vitamins, such as B1, B2, B3, and B5 are all water soluble vitamins. As a group, they help the body maintain energy, a healthy nervous system, and the production of red blood cells.

The most famous water soluble vitamin is Vitamin C, which aids the body in protecting vital cells and organs. Without Vitamin C, a nasty condition called scurvy can develop, causing tooth loss, excessive bleeding, and other hazards to one’s good health.

OVerall, these special vitamins require different handling and a different approach, since it is both easy to obtain them, but also easy to lose them and miss out on their benefits. Even though they do require special handling, the extra time taken to learn more about them will go a long way in improving your health, no matter what level you’re at!
